My Pop-Up Adventure

Well, as you can tell, I am not a particularly fastidious blogger, but that doesn’t mean I’m not doing anything. In fact, May has been a busy and inspiring month for me with lots happening. Let me tell you…

Pop in to my Pop-Up

It’s funny how life takes you in certain directions. I recently met fellow Hawkesbury local, Allyson, a fun and creative lady who rejuvenates and restyles vintage furniture at her home studio in Kurmond. We got chatting and found that we had many similar ideas about style, upcycling and local community. Allyson was in the planning stages of opening a local Pop-Up shop and kindly asked me to join her in her venture. How could I resist?

So, just a few short weeks later, here we are! The store is located at the entrance of The Village Kitchen, a lovely cafe in the heart of Kurrajong. We are showcasing Allyson’s “Old2Bold” business with some gorgeous vintage and heritage pieces for sale, some of which are well over one hundred years old. Allyson also offers custom work, and will come to your home and rejuvenate your own furniture. Have a look at her Facebook page – amazing work.

I have a great range of handmade earrings for sale at the store. My vintage button earrings are a wonderful addition to the upcycled theme, and you’ll also find some other quirky upcycled and reclaimed creations.

Also available, and proving very popular, is my handmade sterling silver range, including my reticulated silver

collection and hammered collections. There is certainly something to suit every taste and style.

I am honestly loving getting back into the studio and letting loose on the creativity, and I’m having a lot of fun meeting the locals and out-of-town visitors that come through Kurrajong each week.

We are only there until the end of May, so hurry on up to the Hawkesbury to see us.

We’re open Tuesday to Sunday.

And, a new jewellery-making workshop…

Yes, finally! I have a great new workshop scheduled for July – Chemical-free Copper Etching.

In just one full day you will learn this fun technique, build your own etching machine and make three pairs of earrings to take home – yep, it’s a full day.

Have a look at the details here.
